Leeds Multi-Agency Procedures 2009

The Leeds Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board have revised the Leeds Multi-agency Policy and Procedures. The new policy and procedures are in use from August 2009.

Please destroy all previous versions of multi-agency procedures.

The August 2009 policy and procedures will be kept under review in the light of the national review of the No Secrets guidance, and will be revised, as required, following publication of the Government’s revised national guidance.

Information on Mental Capacity

The Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) have produced a series of booklets on the theme of Making Decisions: helping people who have difficulty deciding for themselves. The booklets provide information for:

  • adults who need support to make decisions because of a learning disability or difficulty, brain injury, mental health problem or any other illness or disability which affects their capacity to make their own decisions; and

  • people involved in caring for them

Keep Safe - A Guide to Personal Safety

The booklet has been produced to provide tips and advice for vulnerable adults. The advice ranges from keeping safe at home, personal safety while out and about, and how to deal with specific problems like harassment and muggings.
