Important information on the Mental Capacity Act 2005

The Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) is an important piece of legislation to make sure that people are given all the help and support possible to enable them to make their own decisions, or to be involved as much as possible in the process.

This information pack is to assist social care/health staff in understanding how to follow the MCA and how best to integrate it into day-to-day working practices.
