What will happen as a result?

A member of staff will:

• Listen to what the person has to say
  
• Gather information
  
• Ensure the person is safe
  
• Get medical help if required
  
• Involve the Police where a crime has been committed
  
• Involve other professionals to investigate and protect the person from further abuse.
